Prof Mohamed Ali Farag received the 2024 UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences for his research and innovative technology in the field of metabolomics and diseases -more specifically disease prognosis, which led to the identification of novel biomarkers for several diseases, as well as the development of innovative therapeutic regimens for cancer drugs augmented with natural products to lower the side effects of these cytotoxic agents.
